This sheet shows a series of site analysis diagrams which will help to inform the final design.
The diagram below showing lines of sight is probably the most important diagram of this analysis due to the identification of high visibility areas within the site. Lines of site was crucial during the folie design to attract attention and visitors to the site.
Below is the Figure Ground Map at a closer scale. It helps to show the city grain and the transition between the CBD area and the New Farm residential area. It also shows the spread of green areas around the site.
Sun paths and Breezes are crucial factors during the design process to understand where you neeed enhancement and where you need protection
The diagram below shows the road heirarchy surrounding the site and pedestrian/cyclist travel routes. Access to the site via the road network and the interaction with the exercise path is crucial to my initial concept. One of the important results of this diagram is the obvious potential for city cat connection with the site.
